Ellen’s Game Of Games is a Warner Horizon Unscripted and Alternative Television production in association with Warner Brothers subsidiary Telepictures and Ellen’s own production company, A Very Good Production.

News of the game show’s cancellation comes midway through the 19th and final season of DeGeneres’ longtime CBS talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen announced in May that this season would be her last after 18 years, following complaints about a toxic workplace from show staff that led to an internal investigation by Warner Bros.

Ellen addressed the “toxic” work environment allegations when Season 18 premiered in September 2020.

She told viewers, “Alright, let’s go. As you may have heard, this summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show. And then there was an investigation.

“I learned that things have happened here that should never have happened. I take this very seriously and want to say that I am truly sorry for those who have been affected.

“I know I’m in a position of privilege and power and I realize that comes with responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens on my show.

“It’s the Ellen DeGeneres show. I’m Ellen DeGeneres. We’ve had a lot of conversations over the past few weeks about the show, where we work, and what we want for the future. We made the necessary changes and today we start a new chapter.

Season 19 of The Ellen DeGeneres premiered in September 2021 and is set to conclude in the spring.
