ABC has announced a new game show called The final straw which will begin on July 10.
Former Denver Broncos quarterback and NFL legend Peyton Manning is one of the executive producers. It is one of Manning’s many media ventures, the most popular of which is ESPN’s Manningcast. Manning’s Places series has also expanded and seems to be doing well on ESPN+. This is just another venture for Manning’s Omaha Productions.
The show will feature four teams of contestants competing against each other in a Jenga-like competition. Janelle James, from ABC’s hit show Abbott Elementary, will host the new show.
Deadline.com describes the show as such:
Each life-size themed tower is filled with a variety of objects ranging from basketballs to small kitchen appliances as contestants attempt to successfully remove objects from the pile without knocking them over in order to win prizes. If the tower falls, the team is eliminated and the last team standing will take on The Mega Stack, an epic physics battle where the odds are literally stacked against them, in hopes of winning a life-changing grand prize.
“In my 18 seasons in the NFL, I’ve learned that there’s no better formula for success than a strategic plan and good teamwork,” Peyton Manning said in the story. from Deadline. “Both will be needed in The final straw as teams across America run their playbook to keep their towers standing.
Manning is rumored to possibly join the new Broncos ownership group.
