Immersive Gamebox is not a virtual reality or augmented reality experience; instead, it is a site-based gaming platform housed in a digital smart room (“gamebox”) that includes technologies such as projection mapping, touch screens, tracking 3D motion and surround sound for a “live” adventure you’re right there, without the need for headsets.

“People are constantly looking for new and different ways to stay invested in their favorite content,” said Will Dean, CEO of Immersive Gamebox. “Reimagining Netflix’s most popular show in an entirely new format gives customers more ways to stay connected to ‘Squid Game’.”

Players must be 16 years and older to experience the interactive “Squid Game”. Other IPs created by Immersive Gamebox’s in-house studio include Rovio Entertainment’s life-size Angry Birds game.

The New York City venue is located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side at 242 Broome Street, and tickets can be purchased online and in-store.
