Stray – Cat Adventure Game Review

Stray is a game where you become a stray cat roaming the streets to find a way out.

Along the way, you’ll befriend B-12, a flying drone with a limited memory of how things used to be. It will help you with advice, translation and storage of items. Together, you will explore a cybercity full of graffiti and trash.

As a cat, you can meow and jump to unusual heights like awnings, pipes, and rooftops. You can scrape furniture and move objects into place. It’s pretty satisfying to knock things off walls and explore the streets from different angles. You will have to solve puzzles along the way.

A game suitable for beginners – it’s hard to accidentally fall or make a mistake. You don’t need to time your jumps or worry about being too precise. Remember that you can sneak through bars and jump to odd spots.

However, the red enemies are a boring enemy and become a challenge and a change of pace. You can get rid of these zurks and zigzag around to avoid them.

There are no humans in this dystopian world, but you will find unusual robots. The cityscape was inspired by Kowloon, Hong Kong.

I’m not particularly a fan of cats, but I enjoyed exploring the alleys, nooks and crannies of the dirty town from this vantage point. If I’m being honest, I’d rather be a stray. If you are a cat fan, I am sure you will love this game.

Stray is a fascinating adventure game with a friendly robot world.

4 stars.

Stray is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium and PC via Steam.
